Once you have been in a firefight in a hot combat zone, firecrackers are not much of an adrenaline rush. *shrug* But I was never really into the holiday anyway. Always struck me as being very jingoistic and a form of indoctrination into the religion that is 'America'.

And why does the little smiley icon for 'accomplished' look like some French poof with his beret and pencil-thin mustache?
I see you are busy these days as well. I am still looking forward to the day we are in the same town and can have a (probably post-faire) drink.
Go you! My first week or so in the apartment is going to include lots of cooking. I've been day dreaming about it for months, and I'm going to do it dammit. Meatloaf, Shepard's Pie, maybe some Chicken Spaghetti and some other stuff. Yay for a soon to be stuffed freezer and what I like to refer to as a "New England" pantry. (Winter time in New England, you keep enough food on hand to last you at least two or three weeks, just in case. The impulse never dies.)
