tis my birthday today...what i hate about birthdays is that you end up trying to plan out this perfect day for yourself, and by creating expectations, it never ends up being that great. today actually wasn't that great though

I know things look grim with Nicki at this particular second, but don't lose hope. She's getting active treatment, progress is being made. I know it sucks that your Banff trip might not be as good as it could be in a perfect world... but it's still an extended time out of your natural environment with your best friend, doing absolutely whatever the fuck you want. It's easy to lament over "what could have been", but you should look forward to what's going to be a fucking awesome experience regardless of whatever adversity throws itself at you. I know I've said all this to you in the past, but I felt it could stand to be restated (as I often do).

its not an eating disorder...its just...some weird illness that they haven't diagnosed since it started a year ago...it's definitly incredibly fucked up considering she's a fucking 17 year old girl and she feels like an old woman sometime..but anyway, its WAYYY better than it used to be..and i at least get to see her once a week..(she goes to school in sooke now because travelling from sooke to oak bay everyday is too tiring with her sickness).
