I have had an utterly fantastic couple of weeks--interesting work, new friends, old friends, first time at a rugby match, introductions to new anime--but today was the best news: I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED AT INTERAC AS AN ALT, and barring unforeseen circumstances, I WILL BE MOVING TO JAPAN IN AUGUST!

Interview went splendiferously. The teaching demo and speeches seemed to go well (though I stumbled slightly over a couple of my Japanese phrases), and the interviewer said I would make a wonderful ALT, had all the necessary qualities for the job, a good personality and background for this type of work, and was a very strong candidate for placement ( Read more... )
