You almost have to feel sorry for Sarah Palin

Almost.

She picks today to make the big announcement that she will not run for President and then Steve Jobs dies. Guess which story is grabbing the headlines.

Jobs was a fighter and an innovator. I'm sorry to learned he passed away. He will be missed.

The happiness I felt upon learning that Palin wasn't throwing her hat into the ring was immediately dimmed by Steve Jobs' passing.

I have to admit, I'm unusually saddened by his death.

My reaction exactly. Jobs pushed Palin right off the lead story.

I obviously never knew him, but I also find it very sad. As I said he fought hard to survive pancreatic cancer.

He changed how we communicate. Steve Jobs was a true visionary.
As for Sarah, she's doing what will benefit the bigger picture. Personally, I think Cain has a really good shot at the nomination. It could be very interesting.

She overstayed her fifteen minutes way too long.

Unfortunately, I don't think she's gone for good, and there are many like-minded people still in the race. They all scare me.

I'm saddened, though not surprised, by Steve Jobs' passing.

I have to agree with some of the Republican candidates who asked her to please, please make a decision. She was making it hard on them as the voters were confused as to whom to support.

It's a sad day. Some of the tributes to him have been really touching. As someone who has always had a Mac, I always looked forward to his presentations. He will very truly be missed.

Feel sorry for Sarah Palin? Not even an "almost".

Yup. I tend to speak in irony and sarcasm :)

I am really happy she's out of the race.
