Only 10 percent of people with lupus will have a close relative who has lupus or may develop lupus, and only five percent of children born to a mother with lupus will develop the disease.

The auto-immune diseases still seem to be very little understood even if they are a bit more manageable than they used to be. Was anyone else in your family ever diagnosed with it?

I suppose the drugs have an effect too when it comes to things like confusion and memory loss.

My great-grandmother, my grandmother, my aunt and 7 of the 13 cousins have auto-immune diseases. Sadly, more attention is paid to MS, Rheum. Arthritis and Psioratic Arthritis than lupus
