Hello! I came to your journal by way of Perimyndith's when I saw your userID. I used to be big into Pern fandom and was curious to see if I knew you. My name's Chantal. My userID is the name of a Pern character I used to write about.
I have no idea if I know you! :)
Anyway, I wanted to congratulate you on Rebekah's birth and pass on that I think the presence of teeth would be my Big Reason to Wean the Baby. (g) I've heard stories of women who are still breastfeeding when the kid is 3 or 4, and I think that's way too long. But, hey, I'm not the mother, so it's not up to me. Good to meet you!
Chantal... the name is pretty familiar, actually. Ever go to Dragon*Con?
Teeth are rarely a problem if your latch is correct. I nursed my first until 17 months, and she got her first teeth at 11 months. She never once bit me. My personal upper limit for nursing is around 2, although I start to get really tired of it around 15 months. We mutually weaned. She wasn't that interested, and I was not enjoying it anymore, so we weaned.
I wanted to add you as a friend, but I see no Add Friend option, maybe I am blind? lol I came here by way of the epileptic group on lj. I have just started to add people who I think would be interesting reads, before that I would just journal for myself-Since I was dx with Epilepsy though I am trying to connect w/others in my situation, and I understand it is your husband correct? Anyway add me if you wish, your posts seem interesting......mine can be a bit depressing, but no one said life is easy right? Look forward to speaking to you more...
Certainly, I'd be honored. :) Yes, it's my husband. He's in the process of getting his official diagnosis now. These days, most of my posts seem to be tweets, but if you don't mind reading about me railing at kids and random assorted stuff, you're welcome to add me.:)
