Happy New Year to all!

Some may recall my previous post, where I mentioned nearly lopping off part of a finger. Well it's nearly healed up to the point of being all back to normal, and only if you're inches away will you even be able to see it at all. YAY FOR SHEALOE BUTTER!!! Personally, I thought I'd be having to cut that whole flap off after a few days, although my ( Read more... )

Happy New Year from me as well. Good to know you're still being great at the register.

A month or two back I cashed in my collected change at CoinStar and got a $191 Amazon credit for it. But that was more than a decade's worth of change. If he does that even once a year... yeah, wow. :)

Happy New Year!

No clue how long he spent gathering that total together, but still... Most people stop collecting once the first container is full.

I may have said this before but I love reading your posts about what you do and how you do it! I used to work in a supermarket many years ago, and while I hated the way the staff were run, and the middle management mostly being bullies, I loved my customers. I had my regular little old ladies, who might not see anyone all day, and I always made an effort with people, and give them a smile, sometimes a compliment. I used to enjoy seeing their eyes light up in a return smile. There's not enough good customer service in this world - your entries put a smile on my face, and restores my faith in people!

Have a wonderful 2011!

You know, I don't think it does sound boastful. I've experienced it myself. People would deliberately queue for me. It makes a difference to the shopping experience when you have someone cheerful and helpful. I was put forward one year as a candidate for an award for outstanding customer service in the stores throughout the UK. Someone had gone in undercover and...well....I was thrilled to bits at it being recognised. I don't think I got much except a certificate, but it was recognition that I was doing something right, despite the regular bullying comments of one of the supervisors ( ... )
