I did read a handmaids tale a few years back. It was really weird, I vaguely remember parts of it, like the woman getting into some altercation a private club for the husbands. I think I should go back and read it again...its been awhile.
I ll post what books i got tomorrow. Maybe you can give me a review, if you've read any of them.

I've never heard of Haruki Murakami, and that makes me extremely excited about picking up at least one of his books in the near future.

I think my reading it was a happy accident ;). I picked it up at the library (Indian Orchard just happened to own it), and I couldn't believe someone else had read it.
