Running and Roller Derby

Yesterday morning's "Freeze Your Gizzard" cross-country 5k was awesome, especially compared to the Vet's Day 10k from last weekend. I didn't feel like I was running at all, more like gliding - even going uphill. I improved on my last 5k time, completing the race in a little over 29 minutes. She was diggin' on it. She probably would have been a rollergirl if the sport existed then the way it does now (flat track, more emphasis on the sport). She's still a better skater than I am.

I don't have to worry about that til the end of January, so I'm working on a whole list. "Ruthless Ginsberg" is still a top contender. I also really like "Champain," but that would probably get rejected -- similar to another girl's name.

Sad, but no! The regular season is done done done. The next time our girls play is Jan 26th, but it's an away game. I'll take you to a Friday night practice, if you want. I'm not allowed to skate indoors yet, but we can watch.
