Matthew & Michael's school teaches that everything we do is a choice and each choice has a consequence. http://wglasser.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12&Itemid=64 I've been told by many parents and faculty members at the school that this is an excellent book to read to learn more about Choice Theory if you're interested. http://search.barnesandnoble.com/Choice-Theory/William-Glasser/e/9780060930141/?itm=3 I'm waiting for the library to have a copy available.

have read glasser's works back when i was teaching at Oakwood. We used choice theory then - (it was called reality therapy) and pretty much agree with most of it. we make choices - to do something or not... but often we don't want to think of them as choices so we make excuses --- i took the training with Jerry LeCureux and a couple of other teachers at Oakwood - we use it up here too.
