Your first Herbology assignment will be both practical and written. Based on the fact that many of you do not find herbology...useful,this will potentially show you more practical applications.

Although...I doubt some of you will ever understand it...

NAME: Mulan Fa
HOUSE: Gryffindor
YEAR: 5th
How did they do in the practical part? She managed to identify the plant, but couldn't produce the spice
Written Assignment: She wrote most of the details about the plant, and most of its biology, albeit a few key details are missing, or are glossed over.

NAME: Souji Seta
HOUSE: 7th
YEAR: Hufflepuff
How did they do in the practical part? He identified the plant, produced the spice, and also identified ginger's magical use.
Written Assignment: Wrote just about everything relating to ginger that was relevant to the assignment, from details of its usage to its biology.

NAME: Daine Sarrasri
HOUSE: Gryffindor
YEAR: 7th
How did they do in the practical part? Daine identified the plant as ginger, and realized that the roots were the actual spice, and not the leaves or something. She guessed that it had a magical use, but didn't tell you what potion it was used in- just that it was used. She fails at potions, omg.
Written Assignment: Daine wrote a nice length paper about the ginger plant, accurately describing its root features and its stylistic characteristics as well as the way the plant grows. She glossed over the magical uses, but the identification and explanation was good.

NAME: Natsuo Sagan
HOUSE: Slytherin
YEAR: 5th
How did they do in the practical part? Natsuo, doesn't figure out that it's a mustard plant at all. He gets so mad that he probably crushes the plant with his hands in frustration. >>; He's not happy about it.
Written Assignment: Thankfully, someone manages to tell him that it's mustard for the written part (cheating, what?), and he does alright on that. He's accurate on the major

NAME: May Chang
HOUSE: Gryffindor
YEAR: 2nd
How did they do in the practical part? May knew it was a Bay Plant but couldn't produce the spice.
Written Assignment: May wrote out most of everything that she could including its uses and the biology of said plant.

NAME: Prince of All Cosmos
HOUSE: Hufflepuff
YEAR: 1st
How did they do in the practical part? Prince had no idea what the plant's name was but he was able to produce the spice after chewing on one of the raw leaves, choking from the bitter taste, and setting the plant on fire by screwing up a simple water charm.
Written Assignment:Totally BSed his way through the essay though he tried writing down what the plant looked like before accidentally blowing it up. He jolted down his observations on the taste of the leaf.
