I'd rip it to shreds if anyone tried - but my dear lady wouldn't dream of attempting it, thank goodness.

All the small dogs I know are highly feisty strong-willed characters who'd never put up with such a thing.

I think I'm too heavy for my humans to carry like that. I'd struggle if they tried.

She can lift me easily enough but I'm sure she couldn't carry me very far.

I can't understand why anyone would want to do that, anyway. We dogs like to run!

Exactly! That's why we've got legs!

My humans rarely lift me, and they never carry me far.

Lila looked at it and said that carrying a big lump like me would put her back out, so it looks like she wouldn't.

Thank you, Minto! From what I can see in my hobbit Frodo's looking-glass, I do seem to be rather cute. The problem is, my hobbit doesn't own a camera, and he's forced to rely on pictures his human friends send him, which show how *they* think I look! The first icon you saw makes me look like a tiny sausage-shaped dog, while this one looks completely different! Hopefully camera technology will someday arrive in the Shire, so everyone can see my adorableness.

Oh, and I hope you won't put Patch into one of those bags (unless there are yummy treats inside and a soft place to snooze).

You pups might not like that, but this cat would! I would LOVE to be with my human 24/7--and that just might be the way!

If only I could just get my paws on the credit card, I could order one online! *Plots*
