1/ The appellant was seen to be driving his Volvo on three wheels, a rear tyre had blown but he was so drunk he was oblivious to the bumpy ride, the sparks and smoke flying from the metal rim and the horrible noises it must have been making. Police located him by following gouges in the road for 5 kilometres.

By choice I spend a lot of time on suburban trains going to my work commitments, I could take a pool car but there's no fun in that. Travelling by train gives me  time to observe and ponder or OP as we professional ponderers say.

had a splendid lunch with John and Linda yesterday.. I know it was splendid cos it lasted 6 hours!

I hear a lot of amusing things in court, it's one of the reasons I enjoy my job. This little gem from yesterday, a defence lawyer examining his client;

Lawyer; " Do you socialise by yourself or with friends?"

When I play Moonlight Sonata the cat falls to the floor immediately and goes into REM sleep... weird is not the word.
