I've finally cracked

Okay, this may sound stupid, and I'm sure thousands have asked before me, but it's been bugging me! Ever since I realized that the butterfly in TLU speaks in quotes, I've wondered where they came from. Most of them are pretty recognizable or easy to find, but the one that everyone seems to quote ("Your name is a golden bell hung in my heart" etc.) ( Read more... )

I seem to remember it mentioned somewhere (may have been IMDB) that Peter made up some of the butterfly's quotes.

Thanks guys! I had never seen that scene translated that way - I think that's a pretty good contender for source. And I do like the idea of the one quote everyone takes away being the one (or one of the ones) that Peter wrote himself, so I guess it's probably some combination of the two. Or else there's some source that's not made it to the internet yet, which is also possible. Oh, well! But thanks for your help!
