Prior to that I clearly remember the Roselawn, IN crash of an American Eagle ATR. I was off duty, and the CBS affiliate I worked for was the closest station of any network to the crash. I was listening to jazz, sipping hot cocoa in front of the fireplace and reading a book when the call came in late at night for engineering support. It still spooks me to think of.
