I failed at writing Good Stuff before bed last night. Part of that was because Mike was on the computer and partly it's because I was exhausted. A lot of weird shit went down in the last 24 hours. I found out my car was missing from the place I parked it in Queens a year ago while I was supposedly selling it but really I was just pretending it didn ( Read more... )

Thank you. I'm just so glad that we match at all. Though it's not the best match, it's still pretty awesome that they can put my kidney in her and it might work.

Yes, it is solvable, but not without significant cost and had I just taken care of my shit earlier, I'd not be out $550 and potentially the cost of storing my car somewhere for two months while I wait for a title transfer to happen. So, really, the only person to blame is me, and I'm feeling it. I'll feel better later.

I can totally sympathize abotu the car. I now have this stupid medical bill on my credit report because I couldn't get it together to argue with them. My whole life is like that.

I'm so excited about you losing a kidney!!!!! That's really amazing. Congratulations!

sent an e-mail re: the car. I feel the same way about de-Christmasing - it's like the best part of winter is over, and now it;s just bleak and cold until May. But don;t listen to me - I'm having a hell of a week, too.

Yay for full-time work, and yay for rehoming your kidney. Health really is everything.

I am blessed with good health, for sure, and I never let a day go by without realizing how blessed I am with an amazing network of friends.

That is so amazing that you are donating a kidney. I guess you will probably be in Seattle for awhile for the surgery and recovery, huh?

Only a couple of weeks! It's actually pretty quick, fortunately. I'll be lying on a couch near you in early March, though. :)

It's crazy that we match! What are the odds my dad would marry a woman with a rare blood type, have a daughter with that blood type, and then marry ANOTHER woman with that same blood type? Bananas.

Can't wait to write about it, too. It's been cray-zay.
