Ok, so I know this is pointless, but something has been bothering me lately, so I figured, hey, why not bitch about it on Livejournal? Feel free to tell me if you think I'm over-reacting, but at least give my point some thought first

Yep, you're overreacting. The whole point is to say, "Hey look, you've got video games and music and videos and all kinds of neat stuff on your phone. It's almost like controlling the real world! Since it's ON YOUR PHONE

I don't think you're at all off base with this, though I think I'd also be pretty uncomfortable with the two women making out. I know the 'chicks making out! Hot!' thing is so common in pop culture that no one really thinks much of it, but the fact that they do so at his command really emphasizes that the realm of sexual pleasure still is a man's territory. An erotic encounter between two women should have far less to do with men than any other sort, and yet this makes it instead entirely about the man- sex is still had by or at least for men, and the desires of the woman are peripheral to a man's pleasure.

Please tell my TV that I miss it like crazy. Seriously. I can't download TV shows off itunes right now, and I can't rent DVD's because of zone restrictions, and it's very upsetting. I miss technology.

I just think it's a dumb commercial that should've used a focus group. Because obviously, it's so far fetched that it's offensive.
