I've never gone from pure joy to complete devastation is such a short period of time. Joy that Chapter 8 was here when I checked in, and devastation at what happen with J/E! Oh Please Fix This Soon! My heart is breaking!

btw.....LOVE this story, brilliant writing, every scene feels real and true and wonderful!

Oooh, that hurt! It's hard to be so young and in the throes of something you don't understand, and that is dangerous to boot. I don't know which of them I feel sorrier for, they are both in such pain.

Wahhhhhh! That was so sad! I wonder if it was even harder for gay guys in 1867 than in 1963 - sad to think that their was a 100 year period with no progress! Jack will convince Ennis that what they feel for each other isnt wrong. Jack can be very persuasive.

Sometimes I get so riled up with Ennis - on the other hand I do understand him wanting to protect Jack.

Unbeleivable!! I know how Ennis must be feeling, but COME ON!!! Fix this!! Please...... I love this story - it's so well written and the way it's going makes total sense and is absolutely believable, but please, give us just a little something!!!! Good writing, but write some good stuff, ok??? S!

sienata, I really don't mean to frustrate you (insert maniacal laughter)but the boys just aren't quite there yet. I promise I will do my best to get them moving back in that direction soon though.

Anonymous You're right Jack is very persuasive and hopefully soon Ennis will be feeling the power of that persuasion.
