OOOOOOH this was soooo heartbreaking and believable!! Ennis is scared by his poweful attraction to Jack and feels the need to protect him from the possible consequences if he acts on them...he carries such a burden!!

The saddest part was Jack realizing Ennis didn't want him as a friend anymore!! My heart bleeds for them both!!

Please make it better for them soon

Ennis does carry a burden. He is very afraid not only for himself but for Jack and being older I think he worries that he would be taking advantage of Jack if he gave in to his desires. It will be up to Jack to make him realize that isn't the case and show him that they can look out for eachother.

This is a powerfully written work. Ennis will never ever be able to halt his friendship with Jack: no way. Your writing is so beautifully descriptive; as I read this story, I feel as if I'm living on the ranch, going on the roundup and falling in love.
I'm friending you so I won't loose this story...in case of a LJ misfire. My LJ is full of screen caps, some opinion and a bit of news. I'm glad to know you:):) You may friend me if you like.
