I'm relieved that Jack has told Ennis 'bout Billy, least they can both monitor the situation and look after each other!!
Jack playing with Ennis under the table was so adorable...poor Ennis was so flustered!!
"Hell I aint stopped thinkin' on ya for more than a second since I met ya Ennis" This was such a gorgeous revelation from Jack!!
Thanks, this is a terrific read... can't wait for the next update!!!

I think it's important J/E be on the same page if their relationship is to go any further so talking about Billy was a must and while Charlie's no danger to them Ennis needed to realize that the honesty thing has to be a two way street. it's not about him protecting Jack but about them looking out for one another.
cwby30 I don't know about a sequel yet as I still have a way to go before this one is through. I wouldn't rule it out though. :)

Even as watchful as Ennis still is - it's good to see that he's a little more willing that what they got is "something".
Not sure I'd want to use a physician who's office is right next to the undertaker. LOL
Certainly would be better to have a "peppermint" taste than a "baking soda".
So glad that Ennis was there to provide Jack some support - even if it's just being there for him.
Thanks for the update.

Yes and considering they were both beside the restaurant, I'd have been wary of eating there as well.
I have to agree on the peppermint vs. baking soda thing but back then they only had a couple things available for dental hygiene and baking soda seems to have been the most common choice. I'm just glad to know they are cleaning their teeth at all as it wasn't really a priority in those days.
