hi petitemiel,
this was such a good chapter. i thought it was adorable what jack was doing under the table to ennis but even more i liked the conversation they had after. i am glad they told each other about the others who know about them. they need to always be honest with each other about things.
i loved ennis saying this to jack:
“I don’t rightly understand what we got goin’ on here but I know I ain’t never felt…I know it feels right and I don’t want somebody comin’ along tellin’ me it’s wrong. I don’t want no one takin’ this away from me Jack so if I’m more careful then I got a be well…”
i am glad he realizes that it is right and they belong together and he won't let others come between them.
i also can't wait to see jacks confrontation with his dad and what happens.

What a great chapter. Good that they had that conversation at the stable, have been open to each other.

I think Ennis is pretty good at "sayin this sorta stuff".

Of course I liked the scene in the store, the reading of the list. And I loved how protective Ennis is about Jack, but recognizing Jack can take his own stand, with the other men as well as with his father.

Can't wait to see what will happen next. Hopefully there will be an update soon.

I have been enjoying this story so much. I hope all is well with you and that you will decide to continue. Now and then I check for an update here, I'm really missing your story. I'd like to read more of your Jack and Ennis.
I hope you do plan to go on writing! You do it very well and you were able to recreate the atmosphere of the time quite accurately.
