Made it in late last night and had dinner with a few old friends, was great to see them. The waitstaff recognized me and actually hung out for a bit. Felt great to see them too. Had an intense amount of sushi for very little money, and it was incredibly fresh! Good start ( Read more... )

I'm thrilled to note that my contracting agency also signed off on my working remotely (from home). I will be heading back to Portland to start 'rebuild' the WA house. Hoping to make FC even for the first time in THREE YEARS. By the time I can move in (01Dec) I will have not lived in the house for 1y11mo. This is 18 months longer than planned. ( Read more... )

A very awesome guy, Sporty, had his own business and as such did not have health insurance. He unfortunately needs to have a stent put into his heart due to a bad valve but they won't touch him til he has at least half of what the bill will be. Condo - So Monday I received an email from the Home Owners Assoc that I can finally rent the place out starting in about 2 weeks from now. I'm next on the list. I've had some luck in finding 2 jobs locally. One with a power company and another with a place a friend is already working and loves. I have yet to get called in for an interview though and have only had the recruitment firms call me to see if I would be available for such. I hope to be called in this week some time ( Read more... )
