I saw East Side Sushi last week and it was pretty good. I really liked the lead actress, Torres, but for most of the movie she is inert. Just a non-entity, floating through life. McDonald's finally serves breakfast all day. As lame as it sounds, this is something I've wished for since I was 7. You're late McDonald's. Late in a tragically hip sort of way. Jack in the Box has been doing this for at least a decade. But hey, how can I stay mad at you? Here, let me stop by and buy an Egg McMuffin. *So* good.

I can add jewelry repair to the list of things I've done. I added a lobster clasp to a choker I plan to wear because the default clasp was terrible. It looked like the little attachment thing at the bottom of a neckband you'd get at a conference. The new one is so much better, especially for something I plan to wear day in and day out.

Maybe this is waxing a little too nostalgic, but I found my old TI-85 graphing calculator from high school. I don't think I've used it since 1998! And after all these years the little watch battery backup still worked! I could see all of my old programs, from WAAAY before I was a good programmer. I drove home from Berkeley at around 9pm yesterday and was pleasantly surprised that driving on the freeway this time is the perfect way to see multiple fireworks displays throughout the east and south Bay. This is one of Studio Ghibli's weirdest movies. Through most of it, I didn't know what I was watching, or how the story would turn out. This was ultimately a good thing. It's crazy what people will do for free stuff. Yesterday there was a line around the block at the local Krispy Kreme, which is usually dead.
