Hundreds of Iranian expatriates came together under the UN flag to voice their opinions on the current state of Iran. The protesters, led mostly by passionate 20-somethings, chanted "students are dying, the government is lying" "we want an election, no more selection" and Farsi phrases that included the Ayatollah's name and Mousavi's name.

Good news for those of you who own Canon digital point-and-shoot cameras: the software on Canons can be hacked to allow you to experiment with all sorts of techniques such as time lapse, longer exposure times, faster shutter speeds, and even games on your camera.

Check it out here. It's one of the coolest hacks I've seen in a while.

Here are the photos from MoCCA 2008, as promised. There are only four because, like last year, I totally ignored my camera and let NYC and all the talented artists intimidate me into photographic submission (I am but a wee Bostonian). Next year I will take many more photos.

I aimed to abstract the landscapes in the weirdest way possible. I really like how some of them came out. The lighting was absolutely gorgeous because it was a clear day and the setting sun was bright pink. Click on the photo for the set.
