Went downtown with Gaylord in the morning, wandered around the waterfront, then went to Mickey Mouse. Came home with Gaylord. Went swimming with Gaylord and Cleo in the afternoon and washed the car.

We went over to the Ala Wai and onto Elmer's boat. Then I rowed around in a rowboat where the thing that held the oarlock was loose and the dad-burned wind nearly blew me out to sea. I had a terrible time but finally got over to the wall and got out and pulled the boat along the side until I could row over to Elmer's boat ( Read more... )

Played with Stiles Murray today and had lots of fun. Went to Bible Class.

Made my book report today.

Today was the Symphony Concert - the last one and I stayed home but Grandma went.

Had to take a Stanford Achievement test today. It took all morning. Boy! some work. Gaylord took me down to the Ala Wai to see Elmer's boat and he taught me to row. I rowed all over Kewalo Basin. In the evening Cleo, Grandma and I went to the Symphony practice with Gaylord. It started at 7:30 and ended at 9:30. It was the last practice.

Went to Mickey Mouse this morning. Went down with Gaylord and wandered around the waterfront. In the afternoon I washed the car and Elmer Galusha took us for a ride in his boat. It certainly was fun. He let me steer some of the time. We fished too but didn't catch anything.
