Thank you to everyone who has offered their suggestions for sleep routines :) I've now got myself I regular 11pm (approx.) bed time and I routinely get up around 7. As my subject heading suggests, Mondays are the most awesome day of the week for me: I have Research Methods (which I'm actually really psyched for) at 8:30 followed by

That is an awesome set of classes, oh yes. The best ones are the doing whatever the heck you want ones, but more awesome when they combine things you like right in the title!
My friend Andy? I know a bunch of Andys/Andies, and I honestly am not sure who goes to which school anymore. What instrument does she play?

I'm not sure what instrument she plays but if you have a look at that pic you'll know who I'm referring to. Where did you know each other from? In-person perhaps? mahler? You came up actually when I brought up Mahler t-shirts (which I totally still need to buy from you...I'm terrible with saying that I'll do things and then forgetting about them in the midst of stress and school n' such).

littlebluenote and I only know each other through the internet, actually. We've been following each other's LJs for a couple of years now, but unless I'm totally brainfarting here, we've never met in person. I think we did initially find each other's LJs through mahler.
Also, thanks for linking to the 12 Tone Masters commercial again! I just got a new hard drive and lost all my bookmarks, and now you've gone and found that one again so I don't have to do it! Excellent!

Upon listening again, I think I love the Lulu excerpt and Stravinsky back-to-back the most. So perfect! One thing though, is that really Stravinsky? I haven't heard/seen it but I remember my prof telling me about the ending of Strauss' Salome involving a pounding rhythm where Salome is being crushed underneath the guards' shields. I wonder if that excerpt is actually from Salome.

I don't teach this semester so that makes it a bit easier. We'll see if I can stay afloat. Bruckner and Metal is pure heaven for me and I really like Research Methods so it's not too bad. The only thing that's super frightening is the Timbre seminar. I'm the only person there without either a music tech or neurobiology specialty. I'll show you the articles tomorrow and you'll see what I mean. I'd actually like to chat about all of our courses since I'm really intrigued by the stuff you're learning too.
