Got the answer I needed, but really didn't want to hear from my ex. It hurt hearing it, but I needed to in order to deal with it. Sucks big time. I told her everything I wanted to, even the not so pretty things. If anything were to happen, we both needed to clear the air once and for all

Hmmm, not quite sure of the interaction between you and the "ex". That's open to a coupla' different interpretations. Sounds like you found that so-called "closure",and by not commenting further is leaving well enough alone
