went to gig #2 tonight, some of it was god awful but it had its moments. i played watermelon man again at the end, it was really fun this time. got all funky and the drummer took a nice solo, and the bass player played the flute line thing which was great, cuz last time i played it i dont think they really knew the song. i didn't repeat any songs ( Read more... )

i just got back from my first real gig, i played in a trio at a restaurant in the baltimore marriott hotel. man, the drummer was the guy from eric byrd's trio, but he's really good and i figured he'd be way too good for something like this so i was surprised to see him there. and the bass player was good too. i had fun but i was pretty damn nervous ( Read more... )
