You know, I totally didn't get your last post because I was in a hurry, skimmed it, and never thought to try and pronounce that important word, spelled differently, Kamikaze. I just read it and figured I'd check back on it later. I know Kamikaze though (my grandfather's boat was hit by one, actually) and I get the gist of the arguments.

I wish I had time to think and talk more about this, but for now I think I can at least safely say I definitely don't share that smoking fetish. I'd never thought about it till now, but, yeah, not into it. hahaha

Yeah, throughout all that last post, I spelled it wrong. I wasn't really "with it". But I got it now.

Anyway, I hope that when you get the time, you can expand on this "study" or give some input. I don't really understand the fetish, myself. But that's what makes it a fetish. A select group of people only find it artistic or sexy. It's interesting, nonetheless. But most fetishes are. That's just the way some people roll.

In the spanking video, there is clearly an emphasis on an activity associated with pleasure/pain, and the smoking seems to take on a similar connotation. To admit that it is harmful but they'll do it anyway, because they like it, because it's sexy, because they're pleasing someone else (also may tie in to the male doing the spanking). These kamikazes seem to fall under a larger heading for me, from something you mentioned: "They want to appear like something so terrible has made them the way they are and that nothing can cure their misery", which to me speaks of 'emo'. Nothing more sickening than watching emo videos on youtube, I advise you to check out a few, for this similar behavior and ideology of teenage angst/brooding/suffering, etc. The kamikaze women add another dimension though, with social pressures to be sexy, even at a very young age, to be a consumer, also, there seems to be a throw-away quality to these girls, as you've expressed, that makes me think of our modern systems of life in America ( ... )
