Yeah, I know exactly what you mean, and I never forget how lucky I am to have parents that I can appreciate in that way. It takes a while to love your parents as people though, I feel like lots of kids don't even SEE their parents as people until they're older.

It's really nice to know I'm not alone in liking my own parents. I mean, of course I know I'm not the only one but I feel like life is permeated with tales of way more than just the usual parental woes from the people around me.
