Nice weekend full of all sorts of good food and friends! Friday was a ditl day - will post a link to it when the mods approve it! - so I spent the day with my camera much to D's dismay (he finds ditl's mildly annoying). Really horrified at a friend's fb comment this morning! Today was the day we found out where B is going to secondary school (school of his choice - yes!). A friend up the road from our old house applied for her son to go to the local (boys only) school. I had the most disturbing dream last night. I was part of a group that decided to commit suicide. Not that we were depressed or anything, just that this world wasn't worth living in. We moved into a hotel room and planned to swallow cyanide pills. The most awful part is that my mother was there too. She was writing our joint suicide note. At ( Read more... ) -

There's something really amazing about going to see Elie Kouz for the first time since 2009 and having him recognize me. I mean, I've been buying pottery from him on and off for years, but I don't get to Israel all that much these days. In all honesty, I don't even think he knows my name (and who cares anyway?). Wow, and Tuesday seems to have come around with amazing speed.
Friday D and I took all three kids for a walk through town to our favorite cafe, Tmol Shilshom. This is a cafe I've been going to for about 20 years, so it's always fun to go back and see the familiar menu. As times have changed, they now do soy coffees as well :-) We also walked ( Read more... )
