Today was audit day, as i expected nothing was planned and it was boring. The only good thing was when some medical reps came in to demonstrate a new anaesthetic machine, we got to test it and see if we liked it, i hope they decide to buy some of them cos the ones we currently have in theatre are old and tired and prone to breaking down. Back to work today, it was only for the afternoon but it didn't half drag. I thought my shift ended at 6.00 oclock but halfway through the afternoon i realised i was rostered on until 7.00, i wasn't too happy as i knew this meant not getting home in time for the start of the England game. I went to the Liverpool v Everton (mini-derby) reserves game tonight at the Halliwell Jones, good game but the wrong team won (2-3 to Everton). Went with my Dad which is the first time we've done anything together for quite a while. Been off all day but other than attempt to paint my skirting boards i've done very little. I've decided to apply to go back to Uni to do nursing and ages ago asked one of the Recovery Sisters (Kerry) if she would be my referee. She said she would do but has given me nothing since. Well i'm coming to the end of my compulsory week off after night shifts, the whole week has been a bit of a fatigued blurr as i try to catch up on lost sleep and reset my bodyclock to daytime again.
