I know there is a lot to be grateful for, and I am. Obama has the potential to be a lot more pro-gay than even he has shown (after all, you can only lean so far left in order to get elected in this country). I hope that if and when a number of gay rights bills come to his desk (i.e. repealing DOMA, Comprehensive Sex Ed, repealing DADT, ENDA, Hate Crimes, etc) that he will sign them into law. And I am positive that we can get that pendulum to swing in our favor, and hopefully end it's swinging from now on. Ballot measures may be the best way to go about it, perhaps the only way to get the religious right to shut the fuck up, or at least muzzle them, if everyone rises with one voice in our favor. After all, the courts are filled with activist judges, and the legislature is filled with commie liberals. The only true voice is that of "the people" ... so long as they are in accordance with God's Word. So yeah, that whole shutting up thing is probably just be a pipe dream. But it's a good dream, isn't it? I love the visuals...
