I just won at the Octopus Art Scavenger Hunt in Minneapolis Public Parks!

Thirty Five brightly colored and hand drawn miniature Octopus (pictured on website) artworks will be hidden in the public parks of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Local artist William Hessian is creating the art and then hiding the art in hidden locations in Minneapolis parks. ( Read more... )

That's great! Yeah, I thought I recognized 86 and 88 too.

Whoops, someone just found 86. Yes indeed, it was at Mill Ruins.

I think some of these are less "easy" than the photographer claims, unless you live next to the park!

Like most good things that happen in my life, it's the wonder of LiveJournal. :D

springbok1 posted about it this morning, and a couple of those sites looked familiar. So I filled a travel coffee mug, and we hit the road.

That spot is upriver of I-94 a couple hundred yards along the West River Road. We were on our way to find the one by the Stone Arch Bridge, and I recognized that spot from the pictures. So we all climbed up the hill, and I tried to match the vantage point as I remembered it from the pic, looking for the storm drain. And I found it! :)
