Wow, haven't updated this in ages. I guess Facebook sucked up most of my posting time.
I keep thinking about posting here some more. Facebook has the disadvantage that I have to watch what I write a lot more. To many freaking political memes too.

I am very lethargic this week.
Just watched Ten Canoes, which is pretty good.

Got back from WV with only minor jet lag. The airports are really crowded - must be having a busy travel summer. I assume it's mostly vacationers. I'm in West Virginia again, enjoying the big summer heat wave. Had dimsum with some friends on the 4th, passing through DC. Spent a lot of time with SM - we went swimming in the river at Audra yesterday.
My nephew is watching a Scooby Doo movie - Velma's lost weight.

Had some serious insomnia last night. Not sure why, but I didn't fall asleep until after 4:30. Sleep derivation affects accommodation apparently - kind of hard to focus up close ( Read more... )

Went down to San Luis Rey (de Francia) for another music night Sunday. My cousin's quasi-BF, M, (an actual Indian chief - gosh, nobody'd ever figure out who this is now) has a for-fun band and they've been playing at this little restaurant. I'm pretty happy with VMWarePlayer. It's a very flexible emulator, and it's starting to be especially useful for embedded development. Right now I've got Cygwin for TinyOs 1, Xubuntos running under VMWarePlayer for TinyOs 2, and now Fedora Linux running under VMWP for an XScale based PC/104 platform.
