Christmas 06

Tomorrow I leave Texas for New Mexico. Christmas was fun. My family is quite a scene. I have hippy in-laws, an alcoholic great uncle, a very texan uncle with mid-high daughters, a ‘down to earth’ grandma and grandpa, and a brother a year into his marriage, a mom just over chemo, and a couple from Frosty’s family who are going into the foreign ( Read more... )

Umm... well in an Eastern Orthodox service they chant a bunch of Greek, and you try to sing along in a bunch of greek you don't understand. Oh, and they have incense and it's flipping awesome X 100. Then they say a sermon. A synagogue is for Jews, and all kinds of different. Episcopal is Catholic light, but I still was confused for some reason.

Man, Episcopal services are easy, cause they write the whole thing down in the Prayer Book. It's like watching a play while reading the script with really odd dialogue and stage directions.
