Things I have learned from paying Batman: Arkham Asylum:

1. Commissioner Gordan is really Princess Peach and she is in another castle.

2. Batman is apparently some weird kind of vampire, who recovers his health by knocking people out. I can only assume that he protects Gotham not to cure crime, but because he needs to feed.

So, I'm making transgenic mice. It's really cool. Here is the skinny: I take a segment of the human genome and move it into bacteria. E. coli love carrying around DNA. That part is easy. Then I delete parts (if desired) using PCR and bacteria viruses (phages). Then, I purify the DNA really well and have another person inject the DNA into mouse ( Read more... )

I function exclusively on stolen wireless internet at my house. It usually doesn't work. It never works when it is raining. I don't really know how to explain that one. As far as I know the magic internet invisible waves get beaten down by the rain. That may actually be my working theory at the moment.

Woah. I just realized I still have a LiveJournal. How crazy is that? Not very crazy at all. That's how crazy it is. So, I guess the plan at the moment is to post this, come back in about a year and post something else.
