Visited Dad tonight- he's hurting pretty bad and wasn't due for pain meds for another hour while we were there. But he did get through surgery OK and his wife was actually there.
Also picked up Fablehaven book 4 so I must go read! -
My dad's surgery
Tomorrow my father will have a full hip replacement surgery. He's been extremely anxious, and I've been worried for him, too. He was run over by a dump truck full of bricks when he was a toddler, and has had many hip, back and leg troubles for his whole life. Allergies are whooping my butt right now. Eleanor and I are both snotty and snorty. Chris, the usual allergy sufferer has nothing. He tells me it's because he takes his vitamins. :| -
Bummer
My granny called and told us she's not up to having company for Easter. So we'll be staying in town and maybe going to Smells & Bells at the Episcopal church. I have a beautiful Easter dress for Eleanor, and I want her to have an occasion to wear it. Church twice a year won't hurt me, will it? I'm on to their guilt trips now. -
In case you're wondering
No, Eleanor still hasn't started spouting complete sentences. She's making just a tiny bit of headway with her speech. She is communicating more and screaming less. -

Another safe trip
The Johnsons have made it safely back to Wisconsin, barely missing the snow and ice (Thank Goodness). There's an inch of snow on the ground from yesterday and 3-5 inches expected tomorrow, but roads were clear for our whole trip to and from Ks.
I enjoyed seeing many old friends and celebrating the Peterman nuptials! Have a continued Happy Holiday
