Yes, I finally got myself Bucatini pasta (they are known as Makkaroni in Germany) and I haven't eaten them in at least 20 years!
We actually had them in 2 different ways growing up:

I love spatzle! I haven’t had a kasespatzle though, just plain spatzle as carbs (like, spatzle as potato or rice) but even then it’s good!
I’m amused by the pasta (I’m assuming it’s flat noodles shaped) being called Makkaroni in German as the macaroni I know is that u-shaped tube thing. Whatever the shape of the pasta, it all sounds good :-)
