It has been pointed out to me that I have fallen behind in posting to LiveJournal. So today, I think, I will tell the story of my birthday party. yes! go chuck e. cheese!

did you guys play in the ball pit!? i can't remember whether they still have the ball pit there at madison, but i really hope they still do. because that thing was wicked! and after they took out the one at mcdonalds my childhood was never quite the same again, so i really hope that there's a ball pit alive and well in at least one of these places.

It's traditional in Blacker to get thrown in the pond on your birthday. They were going to throw me in the ball pit instead. But sadly, there was no ball pit. I don't know if they still have the ball pit in Madison, because last time I was there, I was too young to get in. =P Dabney House has a ball pit; it's pretty awesome.

were you at lee's birthday party he had there? it was incredibly awkward and i think we managed to permanently traumatize some children -- but it was worth it.

Probably - I mean, it's a kid's play place, how different can they be? I don't think I've ever been to (a?) Discovery Zone, though the name sounds really familiar, so maybe.

Nice! I used to be obsessed with Chuck E. Cheese but would never spend my tickets because I wanted to build up to a big prize! I think I have thousands still somewhere in my basement but they probably already rotted or something. :P

Oh man I did that too! You could get some really neat stuff with all those tickets! You see, I don't think they used to do this, but these days some of these places lay down a trap: They count your tickets and give you a receipt for that number of ticket, but it expires after a year, but if you keep the tickets they never expire. You should totally find your tickets and try to redeem them! Also, do you remember when they used to weight the tickets?
