I went to the neighborhood association's annual BBQ yesterday and there were about 100 people there. Three of them actually sat and talked to me (not counting the drive-by "Hi" or "put the food there, take a nametag"). I tried to get involved in other conversations, but I couldn't seem to get people to respond for more than a sentence or two. This ( Read more... )

I doubt it very much. People, as you are well aware, are crazy. Unfortunately, a lot of folks only want to talk when they want something (like Dr. Awesome to fix them), and not so much for just socialization.

Sorry to hear you and Chef have such off work schedules - it's the worst, no? *hugs* Miss you tons.

No, it's not you. I can almost guaruntee it. Aaron and I had a wonderful time socializing with you and Chef at the rehearsal dinner. Whenever we talk about the wedding it's one of the things that always gets listed as a highlight. Great bridal shower, extremely entertaining rehearsal, great company at the rehearsal dinner, and so on and so forth. :)

You're a very fun person to be around, and easy to engage in conversation... If they're not socializing with you in return, that's their loss. In my humble opinion... :)
