1. No. I personally do not believe Kishimoto will kill off any of the rookie 9. The important point is that Naruto believes. ~__^
2. I... made a face that i probably couldn't even describe properly. On the one hand, I know she wouldn't sit back and watch Naruto die, and I am happy she finally found the courage to confess her feelings. I just wish Kishimoto hadn't gone there at all.
3. It serves as a good plot device. Naruto's now pissed enough to go kyuubi and open a can of whoop ass. As far as ultimate pairings go, my ot3 will never be canon, sadly. *emo tear* but the stage has been set for Naruto to end up with Hinata. or Sakura. I dont' really care either way. canon is canon. In my mind, it's all about team seven, so.... heh.
4. Your female characters can be more than plot devices and love interests. I am just sayin'.
1. I hope she's dead... but I don't think she is. It wouldn't make sense if she died right after another important character, such as Kakashi. It just would do to ruin the ~drama~ with more drama, that would lessen the impact of the other = ohnoez in Kishi's book. If Hinata survives, Kakashi dies, and vice versa. In conclusion: OH PLEASE LET KAKASHI SURVIVE.
2. I've always disliked Hinata because I think she's annoying beyond belief, yaddayadda. I hoped she'd never have the guts to confess, and that she would just die in silence. When she did confess, I basically screamed "NOOOO NONONONOOOOOOOO!!!" and threw myself on my bed, hahaha. So disturbing. Well, I don't care much anymore, but I still hope she's dead.
3. It wouldn't make sense if Naruto ended up with Sakura, but at the same time, it would. Then again, it's Naruto, so... idk. I'm still hoping for a SasuNaru ending. In all seriousness-- for Naruto to be able to focus on Pain, and then on Sasuke, this Hinata thing needs to end on a not-so-emotional level for him. I still can't

4. I frankly don't like canon fangirls in general. However, the main reason for that is the Mary Sue qualities that clash with their practically total uselessness. Plus, the complete lack of basis for their affection. The difference I think with Hinata is that she does have faults (And not the gooey Mary Sue faults like "I care too much, baw.") and the feelings she has for Naruto are actually justified and adequately explained. However, it's kind of moot now, seeing as she's a female in Naruto and therefore she must die.
1) Nope. For Kishi's sake, she better not be dead. *shakes fist threateningly*
2) I moped, then whined, then moped, then went out for dumplings to calm down, and then moped.
3) For the Naruto plot? Nothing. It feels like Kishi threw her in there because he couldn't figure out a way to get Naruto to burst. She jumped in out of nowhere. There was no foreshadowing that would make it even a little bit fluid in terms of the sequence of events. It was poorly done. Also, Naruto is too hung up on Sakura.
1.) Mmm...I want to say 'no' because it was all a little sudden, and even if I think it was a stupid move, I don't really believe Hinata would make THAT much of a stupid move. Maybe stupid, but not that stupid. Or I could just be hopin' 2.)I grinned at her speech, because it was so cool, and felt sad-ness. But overall I grinned happily and just loved the kickassery. 3.)I gotta believe Naruto will end up with Sakura. Which frankly, suits me just fine since those are two particular characters I'm not overly fond of. Always thought Hinata deserved better. Although, this train of thought is reinforced by the belief that Hinata IS dead, because it solidifies the beauty of her statement, and leaves a path clear for NaruSaku. 4.) I like Hinata. I've always liked Hinata. That was a very cool chapter, up until the whole "she might be dead" part. :(
3. Yeah, Hinata deserves someone with... you know, eyes. But the problem is, she'll always be too hung up on Naruto to actually bond with anyone else. Baw.
1. I doubt it. Kishi-sensei has pulled that annoying trick a lot before - remember when Neji and Chouji "died" in Part I Sasuke Retrieval Arc? Besides, he's really rushing his death scenes. Kakashi, Shizune, I mean, slow down and give us some time to digest this! And then if he goes and kills off one of the Rookie 9, well that'd be an absolute travesty. It would mean Kishi-sensei could kill Ino or Shikamaru or Sakura or any other character. Which is terrible. To sum up, I think Hinata is badly hurt, but she'll be healed and patched up. Only, it would take her a while to get better and crap

1. Yeah. Kishi has virtually no balls when it comes to killing off popular characters. And since all characters who die automatically become popular, they can't die. At least the rookies can't.
3. Yeah, Naruto would go six tails for Ino for Christ's sake. Naruto basically lost control over the death of a friend. However this could have been a last second attempt to set some "foundation" for an out-of-nowhere pairing (shonen style), the more "logical" (also shonen style) canon pairing will win in the end. I don't care either way, honestly, even though I do admire Hinata more for the way she went out.
4. I really don't think any pairing in Naruto can be realistic at this point. 437 chapters in with no stable romantic interaction that isn't set in a "schoolgirl crush" sort of way, there's no way you can tie everything together with a neat little bow at the end of the series. NaruSaku would make the most sense, however. Comparatively at least.
