Good for you! And the ticking clock isn't ticking- you can still make art with a kid, you just have to cut out other stuff and have help. It's hard, but it's totally possible.

And don't worry about the other people- as you figure out who & what is around in terms of the local community you'll get in to spaces that weed out the people who don't make an effort.

I think about you and about Sally Mann and Alice Neel and the fact that there are other artists who manage to make art and have shows and other success while still being mothers. I can fathom it's possible, but as I'm just now wrapping my brain around what's happening (dude there's a PERSON in there, y'know? You know.), I haven't quite figured out how or where I'll paint.

Anyway, I really truly do appreciate your comment. I do need to hear it's possible.

I would love to come on Friday, but that is my night in the darkroom, from 6:30-9:30. But I'm going to try to figure out a way to get there sometime!
