Ah, I wish you the best. Remember you can have this baby any way you want to. Your body is taking care of itself and women have been having babies for a VERY long time. Rest is a wonderful gift to give yourself right now.
I know you will so this is just a friendly reminder to ask questions, know why the doctor is making a specific recommendation (it is an odd recommendation considering your blood pressure is not staying that high).
I just wanted to share that I had to be induced with my last pregnancy. My water broke and after several hours in labor I stalled at only 3 cm dilated. I really didn't want them to start Petocin, but eventually I caved. It wasn't nearly as bad as I had feared. I even slept some after they started it (without drugs) until I had reached 6 cm. I understand wanting to have natural childbirth, but for whatever it's worth I just wanted to let you know that it wasn't nearly as bad as I had thought it would be. I did not notice any real difference between the natural progression with my first child and the induced progression with my second.
Ugh, I can't imagine how frustrating that must have been to be stuck there and stall out like that. I'm glad that your situation worked out well, and I do appreciate your comment. Thank you!
Hope you don't have to get induced! It sucks, but it's not the worst thing...and if it's for the sake of the child, then it's worth it.
Poor Bryan was comfy til we made him meet the world :P
Sorry to hear about the BP woes, but soon enough this part of the pregnancy will be over and you'll be having fun with your child ;) Oh, the sleepless nights...but in reality, you're so amazed, that you don't mind (too much)!
I had an induction scheduled with my first and went into labor the night before. I think it was just the incentive my little one needed to come out. No one's going to tell him what to do! He's 3 now, and still has that personality :-)
