Some recent highlights...

Well, its been about three weeks since I got back from Uni Games, so I guess you’re all due for an update, huh? I must say, it feels like a lot has happened since then, though I haven’t been keeping track of each day like I usually do. It’s gotten a little too monotonous for me, and honestly I can’t be bothered (that’s the true Aussie in me ( Read more... )

That's so cool that you get about three weeks to hang with your friends before you have to come back home. Very nice!

Oh, and I love that you sang As Long As I Have Music. I swear that song cheers me up whenever I'm feeling lonely and sad. Good times high school choir! :)

thanks ange! it IS really cool that I get to hang out before I go home, I got really lucky with my exam timetable :) Yay for awesome choir stuff too. Guess what? Next wednesday, for the last formal dinner, me and the other 4 singers are all performing Song for the Mira (from All south jersey... were you in it that year?) Anyway its one of my fave choir-y type songs and it brings back those same sort of HS choir memories!

thanks for the comments by the way.. I read your most recent entry (cuz you are on my friends page now!)- I didnt know you were living in NYC! Whats the 3 minute update on your life? How did ya get there? what are you doing? are you happy? whats new? any boyfriend? etc etc. Miss you!

i'm so happy for you that you're having such a great time! you totally deserve it!

so the 3 minute update...go!

I was in Maine all summer working on shows (and while I was there i found a boy and it was FABULOUS!) and I came home around mid-september. i saw a listing for a full time job in nyc running wigs for an off broadway show called Walmartopia so i sent in my resume. a couple days later i got a call for an interview. and then the sunday that the phillies won the NL East i got the job offer and started that week. So I was home for less than three weeks and then I was off again. I'm staying with a friend who lives in queens right now but i'm actually on my way out the door to go look at an apartment i'll be subletting. It's been a crazy couple of weeks for me but I think once i get settled in my new place life will start to look normal again. The job is great and the show will be running til the end of the year, possible longer. I'll be updating all about it though!

Miss you, darlin'!

Aww, As Long as I Have Music, that's so awesome. Best song ever.

I know exactly what you're talking about with disc golf. I play with the guys sometimes and I always end up just a tad behind. I'd probably kick their ass if I could huck as far as they could! Stop talking about ultimate because it just makes me want to play with you and I know we can't for forever.

I'm glad you're finally enjoying yourself and stopped being homesick!! It's about time. It's interesting that you never mentioned this Aranth fellow before this entry, but he's your best friend there and perhaps ever. It sucks that you have to leave each other but just stay in touch and then you will have excuses to travel~!

Good entry, nice to see what you're up to. Time is flyin, I can't believe you'll be back in a month and a half.

Come to my halloween party!

Its weird that you and angie mentioned that song in your comments, cuz I didn't say anything about it in this entry... oh well. Anyway, next week me and the other 4 singers are all performing Song for the Mira for the valedictory dinner, how cool is that! I finally got the music from mike- it sounds awesome already, and we just started practicing yesterday ( ... )

"I couldn’t think of too many inspirational songs off the top of my head, so I went with the classic “As Long As I Have Music” (yea high school choir!) and they loved it! Everyone started asking me questions about my singing- if I had tried out for American idol, etc etc." Yes you did mention it.

I definitely remember you talking about or mentioning every one of those people except for Ananth. I promise. Maybe you've told other people about him, but not me. It's really cool that you're making close friends, and of course I care to hear about it. The 7 year gap thing (or lack of it) with Coop - that's how Furf and I were. So I totally understand.

you know how my life is going. ive talked to you at least 3 days this past week. im just glad the week is over finally.
