A blast from the past. I avoid listening to FIF. It's a thing that's part of my past. Part of my teenage years- a time I don't have any delusions of wanting to return to.
I've realized in the past year or so that my guilt doesn't do much but keep me sad and breed feelings of self-loathing that stifle my joy and creativity and make me angsty all the time. It makes me hate my "failings" when I see them in others most of all.
Every day has the potential to be better than the last. But we can't sit around waiting for God to change us. If we want to change we have to work for it. God doesn't change our hearts or minds. Only we can do that.
I relate to this song in such a different way that I originally did. >_>
