Happy Turkey Day to you all celebrating. turkey is always dry and icky. i never liked it. chicken is better... :) hehe

and yes yams and things like that are gross to me. just give me the frickin yukon gold or normal russett postatoes! is it that hard to serve those onstead??? my mom was cool and alywas just made a small chicken and corn and mashed potatoes or bakes potatoes. easy simple and yummier than the normal turkey day fare :P hehe

I agree with you both that yams are icky. Orange potatoes? Yuck. Although myt dad makes a darn fine turkey... not even a little bit dry. He brines it, where it soaks overnight in a saltwater solution. Yum!

i don't know who made them, but you guys had the best yams. well, except they were missing the crispy marshmallows on top. :P my mom used to make them with crushed pineapples.
