I'm never sure if the Commission are being optimistic or whether they're actually right - this clearly isn't a Euromyth. Gather ye Dysons while ye may! I look forward to the upcoming CJEU case on this one.

I haev to admit that, mostly, I second-guess the EC's motives -- it's rarely something so pure as saving the environment; the light bulb ban comes to mind, but that's only the tiny snowflake at the tip of the iceberg I'm afraid...
