I JUST SAW JOURNEY'S END

I THINK THAT WAS THE WORST HOUR OF TELEVISION I HAVE EVER SAT THROUGH.

THAT SAID, I THINK THIS REALLY IS WORSE THAN ANYTHING NARUTO HAS EVER DONE. I MIGHT JUST BE SPEAKING IN THE HEAT OF THE MOMENT, THOUGH.

I have to agree with you on nearly every point (save that I loathe Martha so even this atrocity of an episode couldn't lower it). What got me the most, because honestly I'd seen RTD at work before on a season finale and I figured as long as he didn't turn the Doctor into Dobby this time I could cope...no, what got me was that the Doctor basically mind raped Donna.

Yes, let me repeat that, he mind raped her. She quite clearly said "No", several times, in fact, and he basically treated her like a favorite pet. "No, no, my dear, I know what's best for you." All remaining love I might have had for the character gripped in my sweaty fists slipped away at that moment ( ... )

Yep that is pretty much exactly what he did to her. So gross.

If they really had to write DOnna out, why not engineer a circumstance by which she goes her separate way, still as brilliant and Doctor-ey as before? No reason they couldn't. It was just stupid drama.

Donna should've lived on as a genius, figured out a way to gene-splice herself with McGyver as well as the doctor, then build her own time machine from paperclips (or grow a tardis from common british species of mushroom) and gone on to win at the entire universe. Off-screen since Moffat wouldn't touch her, but still ( ... )
