Allow me a moment of complete geekdom and say that my brother and I spontaneously greeted each other with the Vulcan salute today.

And then I had to go to work but that was long and boring. And then I went to see Star Trek

I also liked the lack of sound. Makes it more space-like.

aha, so agreed on the spock/kirk. I don't do the shipping thing with star trek really, but their movie interaction was pretty amusingly suspect if you look at it that way.

I liked it too. I loved that this version of things is alt-timeline. It's one of the cheesy ST things that is my guilty pleasure.

But holy smokes, the Spock/Uhura thing... I had no idea that was going to be. I had such an ongoing thing for Spock when I was a child & teen that seeing him kissin' someone blew my mind.
